FAQs
Pre-workouts give you a quick surge of energy great for lifting weights, getting a pump, and even doing sprints or anaerobic HIIT training, but not ideal for longer aerobic endurance. They jack up your heart rate, raise your blood pressure, give you the jitters, and make you even more fatigued once they wear off.
Oomph actually improves your cardiovascular endurance, as well as your muscular power and heightened focus, and does it all without caffeine. Our ingredients were designed to fuel continuous aerobic movement, constant muscular exertion, and full-body coordination—all at a high level of mental concentration and for a sustained period of time.
Not at all! Caffeine has many positive benefits if taken for the right purpose in an appropriate dosage. And Oomph can be safely combined with caffeine if the athlete so chooses.
But not all athletes want to rely on caffeine for their training or competition. It also comes with drawbacks:
- It is less effective the more you use it. As your body builds up a tolerance, the same amount becomes less noticeable, requiring you to continually up your dose to have the same effect.
- It is more beneficial in some circumstances (lifting weights, not late in the day) than others (playing a sport or going on a run).
- It does not actually give you energy. It blocks the adenosine receptors that tell you you are tired, which often results in a "crash," or rebound fatigue after the caffeine leaves your system.
- Many people experience headaches, insomnia, nervousness, anxiety, jitters, irritability, frequent urination, fast heartbeat, or muscle tremors.
Since Oomph does not contain caffeine or beta-alanine, you will not experience the same "jolt" once it begins taking effect.
We've heard athletes describe Oomph as "quietly surprising." Once it is absorbed by the body, it is more about what you don't feel: you will not feel as fatigued, your pace will not feel as difficult, your reps will not be as draining, and you will experience less stress on your body, even if you go for longer periods. In other words, you'll be able to go harder but have it feel easier. Oomph gives you more in the tank.
It's very important to take Oomph 30-60 minutes before your activity. Your body needs that much time to fully absorb the ingredients for them to take effect. Taking Oomph and then immediately beginning your activity will not yield maximum results.
Oomph provides the same performance-boosting benefits when taken before a game, training, practice, run, hike, swim, or any other physical activity that requires continued muscular and aerobic effort.
Oomph begins taking effect within 30 minutes, is fully absorbed by the body by most people in 60 minutes, and effects can last up to 4-8 hours depending on the individual.
